On Sunday, September 13, 2015, the Nation’s Triathlon will take place in the District of Columbia. In conjunction with this event, the following streets will be closed starting at 5 am Whitehurst Freeway between M St NW, and 27th St NW. The remainder of the traffic closures will go in place starting at approximately 7 am.

The times listed in the table above are approximate times of where the first and last bikers will be at that point on the course. MPD will open roads only when safe to do so not according to these times. Motorists could encounter possible delays if operating in the vicinity of this event and may wish to consider alternative routes. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Department of Transportation also wishes to remind motorists in the vicinity of this event to proceed with caution as increased pedestrian traffic can be anticipated.
