Mayor Bowser to Co-Host Washington, DC Leadership Awards Reception for Congressional Black Caucus Week

(WASHINGTON, DC) – On Wednesday, September 20, at 7:15 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser will be joined by DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson to honor the inaugural recipients of the Washington Leadership Award at the Washington, DC Leadership Awards Reception. The Washington Leadership Award will recognize distinguished Americans who have consistently fought to advance the most important policy issues and protecting DC Values for all residents. 

Mayor Bowser and Chairman Mendelson will recognize the following honorees:

• Assistant Democratic Leader James E. Clyburn (D-SC)
• Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC)
• Congresswoman Terri Sewell (D-AL)
